[Barry glances at it once before plugging it into his phone and handing it off to Felicity and Ray. He figures he can get there faster than they can if they still want their clothes intact.

He'll then zip off, zooming his way up and probably not beating her there, but he will zip in the front door, assuming it's been left open for him.]

[Yep, he walks in her open door, revealing that sweet apartment. Kara's not visible at first, but right as he walks in, she's rounding the corner, putting her glasses back on and smiling a little sheepishly.]

Looks like you found the place.

[This is...the biggest risk she's taken with her secret. But she's trying to trust herself on this one.]

[When he sees the glasses slip back into place he grins, before reaching up and pulling the mask off the top of his head.]

Yep. Wasn't hard to find.

[There's a beat before he jerks his thumb back over his shoulder.]

I also gave your address to my friends. Ray is the ATOM and Felicity works for the Green Arrow, so ... I figured us hero types gotta stick together, right?

Oh. [She didn't realize just what sort of super network they had going.]

Yeah! Sure! The...more the merrier.

[She tries not to look too nervous about it.]

[Barry is going to be quick to put those nerves at ease, because he knows how nervewracking that can be for someone on the outside.]

Don't worry, they're really great and really good at keeping a secret - Felicity's behavior to the contrary aside.

[She wraps her arms around herself giving him her best friendly smile.]

So.. While we wait for them... Can I get you something to drink?

[And he'll ... go have a seat somewhere, while he thinks that over. Actually, now that he thinks about it he's kind of starving - yay downsides to super speed - and he'll text Felicity to see if she can bring a pizza or seven with her when she comes.]

Are there people who don't like pizza? [she asks because Kara doesn't know Emma and also because she might be doing a flirty funny thing. But totally not shhhh.]

All I've got is water right now. Sorry. Haven't had much time for shopping lately with the whole...double life thing.

[She brings over two glasses and sits on the other side of the couch he's on.]

[He waves a hand as he finishes sending the text.]

Water is fine. It's just, the downside to the whole super speed thing is that it also comes with a super enhanced metabolism. I have to eat like ... all the time in order to not pass out like an idiot, so I thought pizza would be a good choice.

Oh, wow. That had to be fun to figure out the hard way. [She makes a sympathetic face.]

My metabolism moves faster too but...not that fast. Just fast enough to make my sister jealous of how often I can have donuts for breakfast.

[supertardiness]

[He laughs a bit at that before nodding.]

Yeah, but I've got a friend who makes me these super high calorie protein bars so can get the fuel I need but not look like a complete fat ass which I appreciate.

[Then there's a beat because he really has to ask.]

So ... are you really from another planet?

[She ducks her gaze, laughing and tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.]

Disappointed that I'm not green?

[His mouth works for a moment before shaking his head.]

No! No, I had ... no preconceptions at all. I mean, with metahumans you never know what you're going to get, so I figure the same has to be said for aliens too, right? But, I mean ... it must have been crazy, coming to a whole new world that's so different from yours.

It was... Not easy. But my adoptive family were really supportive. I had a lot of help learning to adjust.

What about you? Have you always been as fast as you are?

[supertardiness]

[There's a half-laugh before he shakes his head.]

No, not at all. I uh, I was struck by lightning, when the particle accelerator exploded at STAR Labs. After that I was in a coma for nine months, but when I woke up ... I was the fastest man alive.

Oh. That sounds... Well, not awful because you seem okay now, but... [She clearly isn't entirely sure how to react.]

Do you like it? Having powers?

[supertardiness]

[Yeah, he knows that it's a lot. He still feels how much it is when he realizes how much he missed while he was sleeping.]

Most of the time? Yeah, it's awesome. I can do things that other people can't. But at the same time ... there's limits. I can't always help all the people I want to help or save all the people I want to save.

Super speed doesn't solve every problem.

[myvictories]

Boy, don't I know it. [She huffs out a sigh.]

But it's...good. It feels good to help where I can.

[supertardiness]

[He nods and smiles in agreement.]

Yeah, same here. And we're still learning about metahumans, so it helps to have a metahuman fighting against them.

Well, hopefully showing up here won't put you on the radar for any alien problems as well. Last thing you need is double duty.

[He shakes his head.]

I hope not.

[There's a beat and then he smirks.]
