Weeeeeeellllll ... [he makes a show of stretching, of putting his arm around her -- or readjusting his arm around her, anyway. still, he's going for the old, bad yawn and cuddle move] I could maybe do this ... [and that said and done, he's going to lean in to kiss her if she'll let him]

[Oh she will definitely let him. In fact, she was very much hoping that this was where his line of thought was going, so she curls into him with a smile, one hand coming up to brush against his cheek.]

[wingdinging]

[he hums at the touch, pleased by it, and endeavors to pull her that much closer. it's probably a physical impossibility, at this point, mind, without her ending up in his lap, but -- yeah, okay, he wouldn't mind that, if that's where this ends up going. either way, this is good]

[Laps are good. Laurel is totally okay with being in his lap, and she slides her way over so that she's straddling his waist and winds her arms around his neck.]

[wingdinging]

[Dick makes another pleased sound, and continues to kiss her for several seconds. when he finally needs to come up for air, he stays close, his forehead pressed against hers, his eyes closed and a smile on his lips]

[after a beat, though, that smile turns to a smirk, and softly, he offers:] You know, I used to be an acrobat ... [he still is, the way he moves while fighting as Nightwing, but that's not the point. the point he's making is that they could have some really acrobatic sex, never mind the fact that he's (about half) teasing, building on the whole bad pickup lines portion of the evening]

[She laughs a bit at that, because while she was aware of his past, she can imagine where his mind was going there.]

I remember. I take it you have some suggestions?

[wingdinging]

[he tilts his head one way, then another, forehead still brushing hers]

I could think of a few things, depending on how committed to Sparkle Motion you wanna get, yeah. [he could also think of some straight, vanilla things, if she's actually, honestly into going here]

[She considers for a moment, and while she can be curious and adventurous, and she's definitely not scared of new things, she's not quite sure how acrobatic he means.]

We could start with the easy stuff and work our way up, depending?

[It doesn't hurt to try new things.]

[wingdinging]

[he's not going to suspend her upside down and expect her to go at it like that, the first time around. he'll break her in easy]

[that in mind, and a little less sleazily and a little more seriously, he asks:] You trust me enough to carry you? [because he has visions, now, of her wrapping herself around his waist and them finding a wall for leverage and going from there]

[She smiles a bit at that, before nodding her agreement. That is at least somewhat in her wheelhouse, so she's definitely comfortable with starting there.]

I do. I think that's very attractive, actually.

[wingdinging]

Okay, cool.

[and that said, he's going to readjust his grip on her so that he can gather her into his arms as he gets to his feet. it's not the most conductive position to making out, the way he's carrying her, now, but they can adjust as they go. he can support her so she can literally climb him like a tree]

[That is perfect really, because she'll just hop up to make things easier on him, winding her legs around his waist as he takes her wherever he wants to go. She trusts him, and trusts he's not going to toss her out a window, so as far as she's concerned, she'll just lean into the kiss and let go, trust wise, for a little while.]

[wingdinging]

[well, that's convenient and he didn't even have to ask. humming approval, he carries her towards the kitchen, solidly and without breaking the kiss. he backs her up against a wall, letting it help act as support, even if he's still got her, and then and only then does he pull away]

Still good?

[he figures she might be, given the way she mounted him, but checking in with your partner is fun, kids]

[She nods in agreement with a small smile, because yes, checking with your partner is very good.]

Perfect.

[And then she leans in to kiss him again, one hand coming up to slide her fingers through his hair as she sinks into the kiss.]

[wingdinging]

Cool.

[and as he leans into the kiss, he's going to take one hand off of her, trusting the wall and the way she's wrapped around him to balance some of her weight, and reach for the hem of her shirt. because, you know, that needs to go, if they're gonna do this]

[prosecutorial]

[That is a very good point. She easily shifts with his hand, pushing back from the wall just enough to pull the shirt over her head and letting it drop to the floor next to them. She then moves to do the same with his, because they're going for some mutual nakedness here.]

[wingdinging]

[he shifts, twisting to help her help him out of his shirt while still supporting her. once they've both managed that, and as he leans back in to work on her bra, he laughs, the sound low, and warm in both senses of the word, self-deprecatingly amused and right at the shell of her ear]

[his voice is much the same as he tells her:] Y'know, I should've thought about this before we got to this point. [because pants are going to be hard to do, without unhooking. still potentially doable, mind, but they'll take a little more finagling, acrobatically, and he promised to go easy on her]

[She laughs a bit at that, shifting a bit so she can try and get a better look at their current predicament.]

Hindsight is twenty-twenty.

[She should have worn a skirt.]

[wingdinging]

Yep. [ah, well. next time, they'll know better. right now, though, he makes short work of her bra, and as he lets it go, lets it slide down her shoulders, he suggests:] Lemme put you down for a sec? [she can mount him again, once they're naked]

[prosecutorial]

[She nods and eases one foot back down to the ground, and then the other before quickly stripping off the rest of their clothes so they can get back to it.

And this is where we gloss over things a bit because Emily doesn't really write smut much anymore.]

[wingdinging]

[that's fine. let's say that Dick shows her a good time, then, using what she reacts positively to against her in the best possible way and checking with her before he does anything too crazy or rough, beyond. he's good in bed, if he does say so himself, thank you, and when all is said and done, he's definitely down for just holding her, which he does, forehead pressed against hers]

[though ... ] Maybe we should move to bed. [or back to the couch. or somewhere where they can just be fluffy and boneless without worrying about falling over]

[She nods a bit at that as she catches her breath, because going somewhere where they're on a more solid footing sounds like a pretty good idea right now.]

Bed sounds good.

[And she will slowly start to detangle herself from him, to lead the way back to her bedroom.]

[wingdinging]

[he catches her hand, as she starts to pass, to lead, and pulls her back in for a quick, brief kiss. that done, he keeps his fingers laced with hers and finally lets her lead them to the bedroom, hand in hand, silent, for once. he's too chill for words, right now]

[Good, because she is too. Back to the bedroom they go, and once they're comfortable and cuddly in bed, she glances over with a small smile.]

There's a diner down the street that makes really great pancakes, if you're interested.

[For tomorrow, when it is appropriately breakfast time, of course.]

[they're in the middle of a city and it's a diner -- it's always appropriately breakfast time. doubly so when you're a superhero or a cop or a cop superhero and your sleep schedule is shot all to hell, anyway]

[still, he gets that she doesn't mean right this second, and so he hums, nodding] I'm definitely interested.
