[She laughs.]

Don't forget the time I thought cutting my hair super short was a great idea.

[But she's totally going to flop on the couch next to her sister and start flipping it open.]

[ sara makes room, gathering the blanket into her lap before just tipping over into laurel and resting her head on her shoulder. ]

Oh my god, stop. [ she flattens her palm against one page to hold it open. on the opposite page is a picture of tommy with the world's worst nick carter bowl cut. she abruptly sits up. ]

We're going to need way more to drink to make it through this. [ so she unfolds from the couch to grab a couple bottles of root beer from the five pack sitting on the counter, cracking them open and dropping the caps on the coffee table as she flops back down and passes laurel a bottle, holding hers up a little. ] Raise a glass to Tommy's horrible boy band hair.

[The hair is awful enough that doesn't dredge up any of the sad feelings that usually come with Tommy reminders. She takes her root beer before lifting it and clinking her bottle against her sisters.]

To Tommy's boy band phase. It was short lived, but there was so much material.

You know, I hate Merlyn. I really do. But he made two of the best people I know. [ she frowns, tapping the picture of tommy's nose with sisterly fondness. she would have loved to have him as a brother in law. ] And I kind of hate him for that too.

Tell me about it.

[Laurel's voice is laden with regrets and what could have beens, if she hadn't been blinded by Oliver's everything and able to see what was right next to him. But that's not something she can change now - all she can do is miss him.]

But if nothing else, he is living proof that nuture way overrides nature.

[And with that she will flip the page and laugh.]

Oh, God. Oliver's Zach Morris phase. I feel like I should send this to Felicity.

He's still running for mayor, right? [ in sing song: ] Can you say new campaign poster?

[Laurel nods as she breaks out her phone and snaps a picture, automatically sending it to both Thea for the memories and Felicity for discovery.]

Maybe Thea will do us a solid and send it to his campaign manager for us. I hear they're pretty close.

Like close or [ she mimes making out ] close?

[She snorts.]

Close. But the guy and I aren't exactly fond of each other, so I am staying out of it. He seems like a good guy, though.

[ seriously: ] You want me to kill him?

[ i mean, maybe she's not 100% serious but people who don't like laurel are people sara would like to fight. ]

[She gives her a small fond but stern sisterly look at that.]

No. He just tried to get Ollie to keep me away from his campaign because of our "complicated" history. Wisely, Oliver did not listen to him.

Oliver Queen made a good decision about a Lance? Holy shit.

I know. I was equally stunned.

[And partially relieved. She and Oliver have been on rocky ground in the past, but she feels like they're finally starting to come back to a good place. And honestly, she's glad for it. All the secrets are out there on the table.

She says, prior to Oliver's biggest secret coming out later down the road.]

It was bound to happen once. [ she settles more comfortably against laurel's side. ] Oh my god, look at Mr Dorsey. His toupee looks like it's eating him alive.

[She laughs before nodding.]

I think he finally gave it up by the time Thea graduated. Decided to wear his lack of hair with pride.

Much like Dad. Really, who wins in these hair fiascoes? It sure isn't us.

[She shakes her head.]

I kind of admire him for just giving up the ghost and letting that cueball work for him.

It takes a real man to shine his own head. Which I am now imagining dad doing and... [ cue laughter. ]

[She laughs as well.]

He does get it very shiny.

[She laughs.]

It's true. Though he would never let you hear the end of it.

Yeah, but I think I can deal with that. I have an annoying Dad moment deficit to make up for.
