Something to help keep vampires from controlling your mind, assuming it hasn't already happened. But it'll be a way to make sure you're clean going forward.

I treated it with vervain. It's toxic to vampires, gets in the way of what they need to do to compel you. It's safer to get into the habit of eating or drinking it so it can't be taken off of you, but it's not like you can just grab a box of it out of a seven eleven on the way home tonight.

[Knowing Oliver Queen, he probably already takes vervain in his coffee and declined to share with the rest of them, but Laurel doesn't know that now, so she just makes a note to share later.]

I can tell you that you probably don't want to get sucked into the rest of it. There's more to it than just strolling in and beating up some monsters.

I didn't think there wasn't. Things like this are usually a lot more complicated than they appear to be. That doesn't mean I'm not going to help.

You want to talk complicated? Two of the cops that brought me in were vampires. One of them had a human partner, I guess. Panicked and called for backup before I could finish my job. You still sure you want to get involved? It's going to get ugly and stay ugly.

[She places her business card down on the table and slides it to him.]

You decide you want my help, call me. But even if you don't -- get someone to help you. It seems like you're already outnumbered at least two to one. It doesn't sound like something you should be doing alone.

A werewolf bite is lethal to vampires. That makes them the monsters that the monsters are afraid of.

[She can try all she wants to offer help, but he'll keep trying to nudge her toward safety.]

But do you wanna talk about why a local attorney is completely comfortable with the idea of running at midnight to stake some crooked vampire cops?

Not all local attorneys are completely oblivious to the ways of the world. And this is my city. If someone's causing harm in it, I want to stop it.
