Which is true. Cami and Josh both had, they had done as much as they could. But Klaus played dirty.

The question feels like someone grabbing her heart and squeezing it a little too tight.

"Klaus...he killed Tim."

Her eyes close as she exhales slowly, kicking herself for being too late. She should have issued that ultimatum to Klaus sooner, tried to prove that she wasn't toy that he could manipulate as soon as she knew what was happening, but it's too late for that.

Tim was already dead. There's nothing she can do about it now.

"Davina, I'm so sorry."

"Me too."

The words are soft, and pained. But when she speaks again there's anger and determination in her voice.

"He's not going to get away with it though."

Maybe this time she'd turn Klaus into a full wolf and leave him that way. Let him see how it feels like to be played with like a toy.

She should. Cami would fully support this plan, especially if it keeps him away from Davina and Josh. But she doesn't know that it would probably bring Elijah down on Davia, and that is not worth the trouble.

"Good. And if I can help, let me know."

Davina isn't thinking in the long term so much as she's thinking about just making Klaus suffer as much as possible,

"I will."

Because right now, Cami and Josh are probably the only two people she honestly trusts.

"Good."

She exhales slowly, staring up at the ceiling of her apartment. She probably shouldn't tell her. She doesn't want her to worry. But at the same time, she wants her to feel safe.

"I ... may have called Klaus out."

"And you actually lived through it?"

Which might not be the right thing to say but it's still surprising. Klaus doesn't seem to take well to people defying him.

[bravebartender]

"I think it might have been the shock wearing off from the fact that I was a) still in town and b) actually remembering all his dirty little secrets." She can't say she would have reacted quickly when faced with that herself. "He may come to his senses and slaughter me later, but I don't know. Standing up to him felt good."

"He won't hurt you." Davina's words come out sharp and determined. Klaus has already taken too much from her. "I'll put a protection spell on you -- we can keep you safe."

[bravebartender]

"Don't worry," she says with a small sigh. "I'm on vervain and I'm going to move so that he can't just let himself in anymore. Hopefully once that's done, he'll get the message and leave me alone."
