Yeah, death is something that's hard to move past. And mine wasn't even that graphic but it ... was enough.

So the mythos about vampires having to die first is true, then. I'm sorry you had to go through that.

You die with vampire blood in your system. And it turns out, vampire blood is also a healing agent. So a lot of the time, people get wind up in transition on accident, and consume human blood without realizing what it means.
[She gestures for the bottle back again.]
Mine wasn't one of those cases. I mean, I did drink human blood, not fully realizing what it meant, but I was also unambiguously murdered so that I would go into transition. So ... fifty-fifty.
