"Unis and CSU are workin' on it right now, but upon first inspection? Nothing appears to be missing. We'll know more when they're done."

Anna shifts to step closer to Neal as she fidgets a little with the band of her gloves, her voice dropping to a quieter, more private tone between them as she glances over at him. "You don't have to do this right now. We can have you come back to the precinct once we have the final autopsy and crime scene reports. This is a lot for anyone to have to take in."

Neal shakes his head, before schooling his face. "I appreciate that, but its not my first dead body. I'll be alright. Besides, the faster we figure out what's missing, the faster we can all get out of here."

He turns his attention back to the art - the reason why he's here - and nods. "I'll go take a spin around the room and see if there's anything interesting." And leave the police to do their police thing in terms of the body.

"You're right, just thought I'd give you a temporary out for now since the murder part isn't exactly up your alley." She offers a flat smile and gives his shoulder a light, reassuring pat and leaves him to it. "Let me know if you find anythin' interestin' before you go?"

Anna's quick to return to work, shifting back into gear as she directs a few techs and crouches near the body to continue the once-over she'd started before they showed up.

"Will do."

And he will. As he makes his way around the room, examining each piece one by one until he comes back around again to stand next to Anna. He doesn't want to have to tell her this but ...

"A lot of these pieces are forgeries."

Anna's finished her examination of the body and has just given the ME permission to take away the body when Neal comes over.

"...of course they are." She says flatly, sighing a little and peeling off her gloves. "Add that to the list of possible motives. Any idea who would sell these types of forgeries? Maybe our victim was on to them."

"See, that's where it gets tricky. Because all of them are forgeries." Which is odd. One or two in a collection, and they happen to have gotten one past a dealer. But an entire collection? Every single piece being a fake?

"Either he has a very bad dealer and authenticator, or someone has slowly been replaicng his collection and stealing the real ones."
