[She moves to head towards the fridge, grabbing them a couple drinks before she makes her way back over and pulls over one of the chairs from the computer consoles.]

I just don't really like it on my pizza. And it's not kosher.

[Not that her mom was ever the most observant, but when it was just the two of them, Mia picked up on a lot of it.]

[She'll just put her foot in her mouth then because she didn't know that Mia even kept the kosher. Good thing only two of the pizzas has pepperoni on then. Those can be just Nora pizzas. Special Nora the speedster non kosher pizzas. She will just move those two out of the way right now, nothing to see here.]

Of course. Duh. I mean, I didn't know you were Jewish but that's cool. Great, even.

[Who lets her talk to people, honestly.]

Do you have anything against cheesy bread? Cause I got two.

Nope.

[So she will definitely snag one of those cheesy bread before Nora can eat it all. But she also feels bad that she keeps knocking Nora off balance because while it is intentional, it's not consciously so.

It's just how she's used to dealing with the world.]

My mom is -- was, Jewish. And she wasn't super observant or anything. Like I never had a Bat Mitzvah - [Probably because the world couldn't know she existed] - but I didn't really have a lot to do beyond train when I was a kid, so I read up a lot. Keeping kosher made sense to me, food wise.

[Truthfully, there's not a lot that Nora knows about Felicity because Iris never mentioned her much. Safe to say all of the vigilante stuff was never mentioned and the only thing that Nora knows for sure about the woman is that Felicity and Oliver shared a double wedding with her parents and Iris was Not Bitter about it.

Pretty sure that meant that Iris was still annoyed but Nora was more focused on how pretty her mom looked in her dress and how happy her dad was in the pictures to really pay much attention to an old grudge.]

Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool... cool... and that doesn't sound like a word anymore. [An awkward chatterbox should be her middle name really, as she claps her hands together just for something to do that's not repeating the same word over and over.]

Wait--did you say training? Like... vigilante training?

[William never said anything about doing that as a kid and if it's true then Nora might be low key jealous.]

No. Like self-defense training.

[From the Heir to the Demon herself, which probably should have raised some red flags, but to Mia she was just Aunt Nyssa, her mother's ex-sister wife.

Why is her father's love life so stupidly complicated?]

I mean, I knew my dad was a vigilante, but I didn't want that life. I believed a lot of the propaganda out there that vigilantes were what ruined Star City.

[If Mia is listening carefully, she might hear something like 'lucky' muttered under Nora's breath because she would've pretty much killed to know the truth about her dad her whole life instead of stumbling it into by accident because a rogue speedster tried to kill her for being in the wrong place at the wrong time]

What changed your mind then?

[Since you know, they're clearly in the Arrow cave and someone has been doing the superhero/vigilante thing for a while.]

[Yeah, well, Felicity kept her fair share of secrets too. She didn't clue her daughter in on the fact that she was still in the vigilante business until Mia happened to stumble over it in her own right.

Additionally, she doesn't consider herself lucky for having a hero for a father. She spent her entire life knowing that her father thought saving the world was more important than being with her. She isn't sure what's so lucky about that.

She pauses long enough to grab another slice of pizza picking at one of the mushrooms and dropping it into her mouth. Because she is the classiest.]

Actually ... doing it. Saving Star City and seeing that sometimes the legal thing isn't necessarily the right thing. I still ... don't agree with everything he did. But being on this team and working with the Canaries means me and William get to be together too. I think no matter what, Dad would want us to stick together.

[But Iris's lies were worse, let Nora have her angst please. It doesn't come naturally to her like it does to the Queens. It's been a very bad, no good year of feelings for her.

Nearly half of her pizza is gone listening to Mia's explanation, like she's trying to squash all feelings of jealousy by literally eating them away instead. There's no team back in Central City waiting for her. Her only real friend is dead and none of the Flash's old allies are still around. Except for her mom but that's not going to happen. Obviously she can pop over to the Arrow cave any time but it's not the same.]

Yeah. Totally. You guys are lucky. To have each other, I mean.

[She's not trying to take Nora's angst away from her, don't worry. Also, if Oliver hadn't gone to jail and been publicly out as the Green Arrow? Mia might not have known about her father either.

It's a wonder what a parent will tell you once they're old enough to google their dead parent.]

Yeah. I didn't at first, but ... I think he's growing on me. Kind of helps that he reminds me a lot of my mom. Which is weird because she wasn't actually his mom.
