[Kara knows that breaking the whole universe-universe barrier is usually Barry's gig but apparently Kara knows how to smash through it every once in a while too. In this particular instance, she wound up in the middle of Kansas.

Not that she's opposed to Kansas, but it's not likely that there's going to be a metahuman here to help her. Still, she does her best to blend in, pushing the glasses up the bridge of her nose with a soft sigh.]

I need coffee. So much coffee.

[Kara's arrival on Earth Prime comes with a clap of thunder and a sudden downpour. She doesn't necessarily mean to cross between universes, but just like Barry, when it comes to pushing the limits of her own abilities, sometimes she winds up with unexpected consequences.

There's something that draws her to the farm where the Hawks have set up their new life after the Waverider. There's a feeling that comes with something other-worldly and while she probably looks ridiculous, decked out in her Supergirl costume, soaking wet and knocking on Kendra's door with a bright, almost endearing smile.]

Hi. I'm ... really sorry to bother you, but I think I'm a little lost. Two questions: First, have you heard of Superman? And if the answer to that question happens to be no, then ... have you heard of the Flash?

[emersion]

[ it's so much information at once-- but kendra has had practice processing floods of information through the months' past. none of it matters quite yet. despite kendra's natural skepticism she waves this stranger inside. ]

Oh my god you're drenched. Come in, I'll go grab you a couple of towels. Please, sit down-- I'll be right back.

[ she consciously avoids answering the questions, and dashes up the stairs to the upper floor of the dusty old farmhouse. it's clear that this is a fixer-upper. cloth is draped over furniture and the walls are in the process of repair, sporting spots of patching in various stages of dryness.

there are seats available left uncovered, and to the side of the wide stairs that lead up to the second floor is a long and worn wooden bench. beneath it lay various pairs of shoes and a woven basket filled with various outdoor paraphernalia: umbrellas, hats, scarves.

...and is that a mace? ]

[Kara mostly just stands because she doesn't want to get water on any of her furniture so just lets her eyes wander a bit as she takes it all in. It's all fairly normal, very middle America, which Kara can appreciate given her upbringing.]

You have a really nice house.

[Yep, this is all really nice ... oooh is that a mace?]

[emersion]

[ kendra seems to float back down the stairs, holding colorful terrycloth against her chest. ]

Thank you! Oh--

[ her voice starts energized and drops off as she sees what kara has taken interest in. she laughs in a nervous and quiet staccato as she holds a couple of beach towels between them. ]

Trade you?

[Kara blinks before glancing down at the weapon she picked up, and then flashes her a bright smile.]

Yeah, sorry.

[She'll very quickly trade it for the towel to start towel-drying her hair before she continues.]

You just don't see a lot of maces these days. At least, not where I'm from.

That's what I was thinking about your outfit, actually.

[ instead of hurrying to offer one of her usual excuses of being a collector of ancient artifacts, or a curator of anthropological historical items, or some other ridiculous excuse, kendra decides to go with her gut on this one.

because there's no mistaking kara's getup for anything but a costume. between her attitude and the flash namedrop, kendra feels comfortable assuming that hero is what comes after kara's particular super prefix. ]

[You would probably be right. Along with super strong and super fast and super ... a lot of things.

Also, Supergirl.

She glances down at her family crest and she gives her a bit of a grin. She's already been called out on it, might as well go with it.]

Yeah. I'm Supergirl. But I'm guessing since you don't already know that, this is the Flash's Earth? Or ... I hope it's the Flash's Earth?

Well, he doesn't own it, if that's what you mean? How do you know him?

He sort of popped into my universe once.

[She says it so casually as though it's a thing that people do, pop between universes.]

He helped me save National City and then I helped him get home. Now I've basically done what he did, so I need his help to get back. So I guess my next question is - which way to Central City?
