[She laughs despite the fact that actually pulls on her heartstrings. All her and Karen had is each other for so long. (Sure Karen's assistant is amazing and trustworthy, but that was a professional relationship.) It's oddly refreshing to meet this person who seems to accept her right off the bat.]

[She's a little too pleased with that answer.] I have to admit I was looking for a reason to beat him up. Using the whole Robin Hood look with no follow through really annoys me.

[He laughs.]

He was more Robin Hood-y in the beginning, but then most of the people he was stealing from were in jail or dead. Made it a little harder to keep it up.

[She huffs because now she has to respect him a little. Damn it.] I'll hit him a little less hard then. Effort is effort.

[She laughs.] If he can be mean to someone like you? Absolutely.

[He pauses because Oliver's brand of mean comes from a place of caring and he knows that.]

He's just overprotective. And likes to do things his own way.

[So he's Dad, Helena thinks briefly. She shakes her head in faint amusement.] Now you're making me like him again. You need to stop toying with emotions like this.
