"Once this is all over and our lives stop sucking so much, we could totally ... go to a movie. Do something normal." Even if their lives aren't normal and will probably never be normal ever again, that doesn't mean they can't do normal things every once in a while.
"Then it's a date," Cami says with a determined nod. "Fix my uncle, avoid a supernatural war, reward ourselves with grossly unhealthy popcorn and some attractive twenty-something actor's abs for a job well done."
Only it won't go the way she hopes, but hey. At least they can hopefully still manage the movie in the end.
"Good." There's something in her that relaxes as well. The fact that there is someone willing to help, someone willing to work with her towards fixing her uncle, means so much more than she could ever say. "But right now it's late, and we should probably be sleeping."
