Maybe one day he'll learn.

[Or maybe one day she will. She'll learn how to better protect herself, quell her mind and try to keep herself from overanalyzing the things that will hurt the most. She needs to learn to recognize the lost causes before it's too late.]

I thought that the first five centuries. Began to doubt it over the next four. Thought he had the last couple of decades. Apparently not. I've quite given up hope of curing him of it.
