[Here's the thing: Trish has had a bad feeling for a while. Jessica makes contact. She's always consistent about it almost to a weird degree for her. Something is off. She just hasn't known how to go about it or worse she wondered if maybe she was being as controlling as her mother was. Her indecision comes to an end when she opens the door to a bloody and confused looking Jessica. She does what any best friend would do in her shoes: pulls her inside, looks around to confirm no one is around, and shuts the door behind them. She truly has no idea what is going on here, but Jessica is hurt. She's going to be the one protecting her for once.]

What happened? Are you okay? [She rests her hands on Jessica's shoulders so she can really get a look at her.]

[Her heart freezes in her chest. It has to be bad for Jessica to admit it. Even worse comes the admission after that. She can't believe that. Jessica plays at being hard and she is to a degree, but she'd never kill someone. Trish knows that.

She shakes her head, moving to get Jessica out of that coat. She needs to get her cleaned up and in bed. She needs to take care of the only person who ever stood up for her while they're so vulnerable.]
No, Jess... You'd never. This is a mistake. We'll figure it out together, okay?

[It's only then she really takes in Jessica's appearance. This doesn't add up.] What the Hell are you wearing?

[If it looks like she's going to be sick, it's because she is. What Jess is saying is frighteningly plausible. Worse it's a horror Trish can understand. Jess had done her best to protect her. She thinks back to every time she was too drunk or high or young to consent. She remembers all the times Jess had stepped in. Her hero; knight in shining armor without the armor because she never needed it. She didn't save her from everything, but it was more than anyone else ever did for her.

She wants the person responsible dead. She can even imagine her hands around this stranger's neck because how dare they drag her hero down? Trish swallows her anger, throwing that gaudy thing aside as she rests her hands on Jessica's face. A hot tear runs down her cheek but, she ignores it. Her attention is solely on her best friend as a cold, rational anger possesses her.]

Did you kill him, Jess? Because if you did... I'll make it go away. I'll make sure that no one ever knows. I swear I will fix this.
