There's part of her that flinches at that, wanting to roar back in her father's defense, but she doesn't know enough of the story yet. She reveres Mikael the way Rebekah reveres Esther - they've held onto the memory so tightly that they can only remember them when they were at their best, and for the moment are refusing to accept the worst.
